J.Paterson Builders was formed in 1980 by Jack Paterson after 10 years in the building industry having gained competence in various roles from labourer to site foreman. It is now run by his son Adam Paterson and stays true to the original ethos:

At the forefront of the business was Jack's belief in honesty, hard work and a commitment to deliver high quality but affordable improvements to the client's homes.

Together, Jack and Adam have built a dependable and valued team around them who share the company's values, many having worked with Jack from the outset. Furthermore, all team members have specialised trade backgrounds, carrying an in-depth knowledge of the entire building spectrum.

Believing that "To manage the different trades you should understand them", Adam now directs all of the company's main projects, pushing the business forward whilst continuing to deliver the high standards demanded.

The team now consists of a dynamic group of dedicated tradesmen including our in house designer who manages our creative outputs and assists clients in a truly bespoke way to achieve their dream spaces. We understand that success comes from trust and communication between builder and client and we offer a service above and beyond our competitors.
